  • 16 IDLIS IN ONE BATCH Includes four removable idli plates with four cavities on each plate, allowing up to 16 idlis to be steamed together. Each individual idli cavity measures approximately 8 cm, making the set suitable for family breakfasts, gatherings and batch preparation.
  • HAMMERED BRASS POT WITH KALAI INTERIOR The outer vessel is handmade from brass with a polished hammered finish, while the inside has a traditional tin, or Kalai, lining. The removable silver-coloured idli plates are designed to hold the batter above the boiling water for steam-based cooking.
  • LID WITH STEAM INDICATOR AND WIDE HANDLES The matching brass lid includes a steam-release or whistle indicator to help identify active steaming. Wide brass side handles provide a secure grip while moving the vessel; always use heat-resistant gloves because the handles and lid can become hot.
  • TRADITIONAL STEAM-BASED COOKING Idlis are cooked using steam rather than frying and generally require little or no added oil. After removing the idli plates, the vessel may also be used with a suitable steaming insert for dhokla, momos, modak, kozhukattai, vegetables and other steamed preparations.
