FAQs
1. How much time you take to ship the order?
Answer: We take less than 24 hours to dispatch the Order ; Exceptions are always there like holidays and emergency issues.
2. Why does copper products change color with usage?
Answer: The reason for sudden color change in a copper utensil or a pot is because copper does not react with water but it does react with atmospheric oxygen to form a layer of brown-black copper oxide which, unlike the rust that forms on iron in moist air, protects the underlying metal from further corrosion. Thankfully it is not permanent and can be removed, polishing copper utensils take up a little elbow grease but drinking water from copper utensils gives amazing health benefits like fighting cancer, acts as an anti ageing agent, is full of oxidants, lowers the risk of heart diseases and hypertension, helps in better functioning of the digestive system, protection against infections, beating anemia etc.
3. How can I polish and clean my copper products?
Answer: Easy! Your copper products are made of 100% pure copper, so it will naturally patina over time. Many of our customers like having the exterior of their products age gracefully into a beautiful copper patina, but, if you prefer the shine of copper, it is very easy to remove. Simply sprinkle a pinch of salt on a slice of lemon, allow the salt to dissolve, and then gently rub it on the surface of your product. The lemon and salt will form a mixture that will naturally remove the patina and restore the copper’s shine. Once done, rinse with water and dry well.
The inside of the copper product will also patina, but this does not impair the water stored inside the product. We recommend cleaning the inside of your product every time and then with warm water and a drop of liquid soap, and then rinsing it well. However, be sure to never wash your copper product in a dishwasher.
You can also use Pitambari Powder for cleaning which is provided with the order.
4. Why sometimes lids and caps of Copper Bottles and Pot tightens?
Answer: It so happens at time since copper is not as tensile as steel, the caps might become sturdy to tighten, In this case putting a little oil around the rings of the seal of the cap and the rim of the bottle and pot and putting it away for a certain amount of time resolves the issue. The grease in the oil will bring back the cap to its proper functioning again.
